Now that the state of Illinois has started tackling the proposed law on legalizing marijuana, what are your thoughts on this guys? Should other states follow the lead of Illinois?

Court Of Appeals: Medical Marijuana Law Not Retroactive

The medical marijuana law only allows a defense for possession to those people in possession of the drug after the law took effect, a Court of Appeals decision earlier said.
In the unpublished case (People v. Campbell, COA docket No. 291345) appellate judges reversed a trial court opinion that lifted charges against a man found with several marijuana plants.

Legalization Would Cut Marijuana Prices 80 Percent in California

A study on the expected impact of marijuana legalization in California predicts that the price of the drug would drop steeply.
The RAND Corp. study estimated that marijuana prices would fall 80 percent if the drug is legalized as proposed in a pending ballot initiative that Californians will vote on this fall.
